Get Well Soon 6 Pack Postcard

Quickly drew this when a twitter friend and Victory Brewing co-working booth-sharer announced his pneumonia diagnosis. I’m assuming you can still drink beer when you have pneumonia, right?

Sent it off yesterday after taking the hold off my mail. Our mailbox was buried but good last week and I decided to put the mail on hold for a week since generally there’s nothing worth getting in the mail anymore – junk mail and the few last hold outs (i’m talking to you, Aqua America) that won’t support online billing through my bank’s bill paying service.

when i asked to see it in person, Joe informed me he had already whisked it away to his private art holdings.

You captured Joe's likeness very well, except we use one of those fancy digital ear thermometers in our house.

digital ear thingies! nothing like chewing mercury-filled glass tubes while you're running up and down the stairs stashing your private art holdings.

wonder if 'private art holdings' = 'kindling pile'?

  3. Kristen says:

Oh, I can assure you not a kindling pile. Unless we were down to the last 25 human beings on a post-apocalyptic -23 degree February morn when all the trees had been long burnt. Then maybe.

I have a terribly complicated way of moving goods and gifts in and out of my life, in varying stages depending on the item. As such, art goes into its own holding area, first in the upstairs office, then into the "master" collection… and none of that means it was thrown away 😉

  5. mcglinch says:

wow…i'm envisioning a Barnes Foundation type of curation being built there.

  6. Kristen says:

I also have a fancy, complicated system whereby I post your art on a bulletin board at work. Note: i do NOT put thumbtack holes in them. That would be tacky.
