An Eye On Christmas

Working on some roughs of the mcglinch.com holiday card. Came up with this idea tonight when the kids and I drove by the local greenhouse display on the way over to the Chester Springs Studio holiday fine crafts & art show. The kids weren't thrilled with my concept.

Sharp Stick in the Eye Tshirt

I had a special birthday boy request for this tshirt -- so I made it and now it's available to all. (note -- it's been designed specifically for dark colors.) The origin of the doodle was from a meeting I attended at the last job -- I specifically drew it knowing that my boss would think that I'd rather stick a sharp stick in my eye than sit in another meeting. However, I actually loved meetings there because I could get a lot of drawings done.

Now. I promise to stop churning out goods & wears and get back to doodling. It's been a tough September.

request-a-doodle: ghost playing xbox

foosbeer said...Zoe would like to request a doodle of a ghost playing XBox 360 with its eyes melting out of its sockets and brain dripping out of its ears.

My daughter complained that my rendering of what is left of the ghost's brain (from too much TV/gaming) looks more like a chicken leg. My position is that the brain has rotted to the point that it was able to fit through the ghost's ear-hole, thus providing the appearance of a brain dripping out of its ears as was requested.

If it looked more like a brain, it would never have been able to 'drip' out of the ear hole. Let's be realistic here.
