Cat and Squirrel Skull Battle 6pack postcard

Shannon recently got in touch about a drawing she liked and was going to get back to me about something. I decided to draw her a beer six pack postcard since I stalked sleuthed out her postal address through one of her emails. Hopefully she won't mind the Philadelphia Brewing Company Joe Coffee Porter front.

Hey, Hey, You, You, Get Off of My Lawn

We've lived in our house for over 7 years now. Across the street is a horse field and beyond that are woods where deer, squirrels, foxes, snapping turtles, skunks, and more roam.

Until the past month, the squirrels stayed on their side of the street. The Mrs. did battle daily with squirrels at our old Old house. There she even invented bulb cages to keep them from digging up and stealing her prized tulips and daffodil bulbs.

Now the squirrels have crossed the border and have been raiding the weedy garden. The battle has begun -- but this time it will be different...

Bad Squirrel with Acorn

Started drawing this squirrel with an acorn but didn't like it -- started making me think of that prehistoric squirrel in Ice Age so then I tried to purposely make sure it wasn't looking like that and then wasn't happy with it. So there. Deal with it. I had to.

Request-a-doodle: Dead Squirrel Ascending

Anonymous said...I ran over a squirrel this morning. I couldn't help it. Please draw a picture of a squirrel as an angel or better yet, as a saint-like religious icon.

Where there's a dead squirrel there's always a crow willing to pick him apart -- not unlike some personal interactions I've seen in offices in my day.

Not really a doodle today -- but some subjects require an extra level of care and time.
